第弐江乃電の車輛に身を委ねる旅人たちは、沖合いの様々な驛(えき)を経由し、曖昧な時間の経過に抱かれながら、やがて幻ともいわれた伝説の地「夛果海原」(タカアマハラ)へと至るのです。
夛果海原の深奥部には厳かな異界、神杜(カミモリ)が存在し、滅多に人の足を寄せ付けない、神々の坐す領域が広がります。
夛果海原を訪れた人々の中には、彼の地に留まる人も居るそうです。
逆に、夛果海原から湘南へと訪れる人も居る、といわれますが、定かではありません…。
